In Taichung, Taiwan, it quite literally does. Hidden behind a vending machine entrance bearing the words “Insert Coin to Open,” Vender Bar was built on one simple idea: Vendering Happiness.
Founded by Darren Lim and Summer Chen, Vender brings a playful twist to the art of cocktail-making, drawing inspiration from the flavours, memories and vibrant street food culture of Singapore. From kaya toast to laksa, familiar local favourites are reimagined through inventive techniques and unexpected combinations, turning nostalgia into something entirely new.
Ranked No. 20 on Asia's 50 Best Bars 2025 and named The Best Bar in Taiwan, Vender has made a name for itself by proving that exceptional cocktails can be as playful as they are sophisticated.
